Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara’s council, Advocate Amar Singh Chahal has written to the Chandigarh IGP to provide him one-day parole for attending ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ at Talwandi Sabo on November 10.
Bhai Hawara was declared Akal Takht ‘Jathedar’ during the Sarbat Khalsa last year.
It was stated in the application by advocate Simranjit Singh that various issues of Sikhs would be discussed during the event. The applicant was interested in attending the ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ as per the wishes of the Sikh ‘sangat’ and organisers of the ‘Sarbat Khalsa’, he added.
Bhai Hawara is presently lodged in Tihar jail.
