Rumour has it that Bollywood actor Sunny Deol may replace Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate Manpreet Singh Ayali in Ludhiana. Deol’s father and veteran actor Dharmendra had won elections on a BJP ticket from the Bikaner constituency in Rajasthan.
Punjab BJP spokesperson Manoranjan Kalia, however, refused to comment on Deol’s candidature and said the decision on the ticket would be taken by the SAD, if there is a change in the plan. “No, I have no idea if Sunny Deol is being fielded from Ludhiana. The seat belongs to SAD which will take a decision on it,” he said.
