Punjab police crackdown on Bhai Gurbaksh Singh supporters, ban protests

Chandigarh: In a major crackdown against Sikh Activists and their organisations, Punjab police detained several leaders and activists in wake of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s March to Golden Temple, Amritsar.

According to confirmed sources, those taken into custody by the state police include Panch Pardhani youth leader Bhai Mandhir Singh, Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khosa, Damdami Taksal Activist Ranjit Singh.

In Ludhiana, Sherpur Police also conducted raid at Bhai Manwinder Singh Giaspur house around 1AM on 8th January but as a precautionary measure he had already escaped from his house before this time.

Bhai Mandhir Singh aged 35 from village Garhi Kanugo, Nawan shahar was apprehended by Balachaur Police from his home on 7th January at about 11.15pm.

According to sources, Punjab CM has directed the state police to not let Bhai Gurbaksh Singh enter Punjab at any cost.
