The SGPC has hired a private telecom company Videocon to provide free Wi-Fi in the galliara, serais and main streets leading to the shrine.
SGPC additional secretary Daljit Singh Bedi said the Internet and electricity wing was busy installing requisite infrastructure.
He said wi-fi would also be functional in all the offices of SGPC and related offices of Golden Temple, besides Akal Takht.
