AAP MP from Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann condemned injustice against Sikh Prisoners and Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara
Barnala (July 14, 2014)— Bhaigwant Mann in a statement said that as per Indian Constitution, every prisoner has the right to get treatment in the hospital. This statement was issued by Bhagwant when he was asked by a journalist about his views on Bhai Jagtar Singh being discarded medical treatment.
Bhagwant Mann also stated that even he had even previously stated this during Hunger protest by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh that all Sikh political prisoners who have completed their senetence according to law, should be released.
He said that this was very unfortunate that a large number of prisoners are still languishing in jails despite having completed their sentences. He said that he and his Aam Adami party are supporters of the law and justice, and all people should be given their basic human rights.
