New Delhi: Sikhs stage a demonstration to press for the release of Sikh political prisoners lodged in different jails across India, at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Aug 4, 2015.
Many Sikh organisations including Bapu Surat Singh Sangharsh Committee, Shiromani Akali Dal Delhi, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar, Bandi Sikh Rihayee morcha, Eknoor Khalsa and others jointly took part in this protest.
Among Sikh leaders, who took part were Bhai Jaspal Singh Heran, Paramjeet Singh Sarna, Gurinder Singh Dhanola, Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal, Jaskaran Singh (KahnSingh Wala), Dhayan Singh Mand. Dharamvir Gandhi, AAP MP from Patiala, also took part in the protest.
Sikh bodies demanded to have a Parliamentary discussion over the release of Sikh political prisoners.
