Sydney – Setting an example of honesty and respecting Sikh values, Jasbir Singh who is manager of Glenwood Sikh Gurdwara, did the right thing when he returned excess cash to the bank.
As per given info, Jasbir Singh and Gurdwara treasurer Jaspal Singh do a weekly deposit of the Golak money into the Gurdwara account. This week, after they deposited the money and got the receipt from the bank, they found that mistakenly an excess cash of $4500 was still sitting with them.
In no time, Jasbir Singh went back to the bank and returned the money to the staff. The staff were really astonished with his honesty and said that they had heard about the honesty of Sikhs but now experienced it as well.
