AREA NEWS – GRIFFITH’S iconic Sikh temple has been the latest local organisation to go pink as Griffith shows its support for the McGrath Foundation.

Speaking on behalf of the temple Nick Chauhan they had been hopeful those suffering from breast cancer would know they had the support of the entire Sikh community on their journey.

“Breast cancer, it effects everyone and it is not community or culturally based,” he said.

“Just at the temple alone we have already raised $1200 and counting and on Saturday we are inviting people to wear pink and come down and help us raise more money.”

Mr Chauhan said pictures of the temple lit up had already been shared all over Australian.

“The photo has put us nationally and it is getting the message out even further and make people aware of the importance supporting this and helping to find a cure.

“Just a few calls to some local electricians and some cellophane over the fog lights – it was simple but it’s definitely impressive,” he said.
