BRISBANE – Taking a step further to connect sangat with Sikhi, the Brisbane Gurdwara Sahib has opened doors of Sikh Education and Welfare Centre. The centre has been established to make the people aware of Gurmat (Guru’s Teachings), Punjabi language and Soikh Culture and games.
Brisbane Sikh Gurdwara purchased a new 4.5 Million property with the support of Sikh Community.
Gurdwara President Jasjot Singh thanked to the community members who supported towards this cause. He told SinghStation that the Educational and Welfare Centre will offer a unique Sikhi learning experience reaching out to all age groups.
The Centre will not only augment Gurdwara’s role in propagating Sikh value and teachings but also to serve the growing social needs of the community.
The new property is equipped with the facilities including a seminar room, a multipurpose open hall; kids play area and six houses to accommodate people with compelling needs including those who are victims of domestic violence.
