SGPC Chief Makkar’s son Tejinderpal Singh Soni cremated: Badal lays wreath

Ludhiana 8th Oct – Mortal remains of Mr. Tejinder Singh Soni, the younger son of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee President Jathedar Avtar Singh, were consigned to flames at Model Town Extension Cremation ground in Ludhiana amidst thousands of mourners and sympathizers who reached here to pay homage to the departed soul.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, accompanied by Revenue, Information & Public Relation Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, attended the cremation of Mr. Tejinder Singh Soni, who passed away on Monday afternoon after renal failure.

The Chief Minister laid wreath on the behalf of Punjab Government during his last rites and also shared heartfelt sympathies and condolences with Jathedar Avtar Singh. The Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief.

Revenue, Information & Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad and untimely demise of S. Tejinderpal Singh Soni who passed away in the prime of his youth.

Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Cabinet Minister Mr. Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon, Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, MLAs Bibi Jagir Kaur, Mr. Balwinder Singh Bains, Mr. Simerjeet Singh Bains and Mr. Ranjeet Singh Dhillon, Chairman Punjab Mandi Board Mr. Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, Vice Chairman Punjab Planning Board Prof. Rajinder Bhandari, former Ministers Jathedar Hira Singh Gabria and Mr. Satpal Gosain, President Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee Mr. Manjit Singh GK, former MLA Mr. Ranjit Singh Talwandi besides several members of SGPC and leaders of SAD-BJP alinace.
