The Sehajdhari Sikh Party (SSP) has written to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal to form government in Delhi with the support of the Congress.
SSP president Paramjeet Singh Ranu in his letter said if Kejriwal failed to form the government this time, he might face the same fate of Simranjit Singh Mann, who despite winning six seats in the 1989 Lok Sabha polls did not enter Parliament because of the Kirpan issue.
“It’s time to capture power and render good governance and help realize the dreams of the public.
“ The people have rejected the BJP and the Congress and if the latter is ready to give an unconditional support, there is nothing wrong in forming the government,” the letter read.
Running away from the responsibility of leading the capital is not a wise step in my opinion, Ranu said.
The SSP leader also said the Aam Aadmi Party has defeated the communal agenda of the RSS and the BJP and the people of Delhi have replaced the Congress for its poor performance and bad governance.
“Now it’s the right time to meet the expectations of the general public, which is the main agenda of the AAP,” Ranu said.
