Simranjit Singh Mann, SAD (Amritsar) president, today said his party along with organisers of the Sarbat Khalsa would context the upcoming Assembly elections.
Addressing media persons, he said the party would hold a meeting with various organisations involved in organising the Sarbat Khalsa within next 10 days to chalk out a strategy.
He added that Khalistan, freedom of the Sikh community and issues related to Punjab would be the party agenda for the forthcoming elections.
On being asked whether other organisations would support these issues, he said they would not oppose it. “We have mutually agreed not to oppose each other and any decision will be taken after holding detailed discussions,” said Mann.
He said the candidates would be announced at appropriate time after holding the meeting with other organisations. He said alliance would be made only with those parties who would take up the issue of freedom of the Sikh community.
