Punjabi Singer and former Kabaddi player K S Makhan today joined the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in the presence of party chief and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Welcoming KS Makhan into the party with open arms, the SAD President & Punjab Deputy Chief Minister , Sukhbir Badal said that the “multi-faceted personality” of KS Makhan would prove beneficial to “connect with the youth of the state”.
KS Makhan thanked Sukhbir Singh Badal and said that he has complete faith in the policies and people friendly ideology of SAD and would work like a true soldier of the party accepting with total dedication any duty assigned to him by the party high command.
In his singing career that began in 1998, Makhan has sung scores of melodious songs some of which devoted to spirituality. He had also played Kabaddi at the state level and had an illustrious career in the Punjabi film industry.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Irrigation Minister Punjab, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Ex-minister Sucha Singh Langah, OSD to the Deputy Chief Minister- Charanjit Singh Brar, President SAD Ludhiana (Rural) Santa Singh Umaidpuri, Vice-President Malwa zone-3 (Youth Akali Dal) Gurwinder Prinkle Ludhiana, Karanpal Harry and others.
