Panchkula, August 26 2014: Cricketer turned actor Yograj Singh’s NRI sister Kuljeet Kaur has lodged a complaint with the British High Commission in India, saying she feels that women are not safe in this country.
All this happened after Yograj had an altercation with his neighbours and was arrested allegedly for assault, attempting to break into a house and threatening.
Kuljeet said that they are the victims in the matter and should not be made the accused. She claimed that they were beaten and then a complain is being registered against them.
After getting released Yograj said that he is very disappointed with the whole incident.
Panchkula police station has lodged a complaint against Yograj and his ten accompalices.
A complaint on IPC section 323, 325, 506 and 34 has been registered against the other party in the case, Retired DSP Ashanand and his two sons, Sumit & Sunil.
Yograj Singh is also alleged of threatening the police officials at a Panchkula police station. He was arrested but later bailed out. The police accused Yograj of interfering in the case filed and pressurizing the officials to hush up the matter. The police had registered a case under section 323 against former cricketer Yograj Singh.
Both sides were presented in the court on Monday, where except Yograj’s friend Bhupinder Singh, everyone else was released.
Bhupinder has been aken into judicial custody for 14 days.
