Nanak Shah Fakir screening suspended in Punjab for 2 months

Punjab government has finally suspended the screening of controversial film Nanak Shah Fakir in the state for two months.

The movie, ’Nanak Shah Fakir’,was to be released on April 17. The movie has been in news for all the wrong reasons. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and other Sikh religious groups had objected  the depiction Guru Nanak Dev in human form.

Earlier the movie screening has also been banned temporarily at various cinemas in Australia as well.
