More than ONE THOUSAND new COVID cases recorded in NSW

New South Wales has recorded another 1035 cases of coronavirus as concern grows over an increase in infections in the state’s west.

Another two deaths were also confirmed on Saturday – a woman in her 70s and a woman in her 80s.

Of the new cases, 42 were recorded in western NSW, where more than 500 infections have been confirmed.

There are currently 778 COVID cases admitted to hospital, with 125 people in intensive care, including 52 who require ventilation.
