Mohali Bar Association joins Sikh Relief in Punjab Flood Relief

In the wake of the devastation caused by the flooding of Punjab, the people of Punjab and abroad have been donating and giving generously towards those most in need and affected by the flood waters as per the devine teachings of the Sikh Gurus.

With this said and understood the lawyers and Advocates of the Bar Association of Mohali have today partnered with Sikh Relief UK and the Akhand Kirtani Jatha to help assist flood victims.

Another truckload of mattresses headed towards those most in need as Mohali Bar Association President Manpreet Singh Chahal and other lawyer associates, traveled into the flood-hit villages.

Talking to the media having arrived and having conducted a rudimentary investigation Advocate Chahal gave his initial reaction, “We will try to help flood victims from all sides and work side by side with Sikh Relief and the Akhand Kirtani Jatha with their relief operations.”

Mattress deliveries have been made and are continuing and will be distributed by Sikh Relief in the villages of Phool, Ferabad Gurdaspura, Badhaul and Chakkhera of Ropar district, whilst assessing their medical needs, rations supplies and bedding.

Also present among the group of legal eagles were Advocates Hardeep Singh Diwana, Harjinder Singh Bedwan, Sanhepreet Singh, Naveen Saini, Kulwinder Kaur, Jagdeep Kaur Bhangu, Gitanjali Bali, Tejinder Kaur and Bhai Parminder Singh.
