The preparations for Melbourne Hockey Cup are in full swing On September 21. The Winner’s trophy was revealed yesterday at The Grand Saffron South Morang in the presence of Chief guests of this ceremony Padma Sri Pargat Singh, Former Hockey Olympian and Waseem Ahmed, Former Hockey Captain from Pakistan.
A total of 12 teams are participating in this tournament, out of which 10 teams are from Australia and 2 teams are from New Zealand. Apart from this, competitions for small children (boys and girls teams) will also be conducted.
Hockey Victoria is fully supporting this tournament. International level umpires will umpire the matches of this tournament. The winning teams will be awarded with cash prizes and trophies.
QuintEssential Taxation will be the main sponsor of the First Melbourne Hockey Cup scheduled to be held at Melbourne Sports Centre Parkville (Melbourne ) from 23rd to 25th September 2022.
