A 12-year-old boy has been indecently assaulted on a tram in Brunswick.
The boy was travelling out of the city on the number 19 tram about 4pm on April 17 when the attack occurred.
Transit detectives have released images of a man they wish to speak to.
The boy has told police that while he was on the tram, a man sitting next to him suggested he perform a lewd act and indecently assaulted him.
The boy told the man to stop. Shortly after the man got off the tram and walked toward Coburg Mall on Victoria Street.
The man, aged in his mid 30s, is of Indian appearance and solid appearance, and has dark coloured hair.
He was wearing a grey baseball cap and black and yellow rimmed glasses.
Detectives from the Transit Safety Division have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
