Chandigarh – Dr. Karan Singh Sandhu, the elder son of journalist turned AAP leader Kanwar Sandhu passed away Wednesday morning.
35-year old Karan died of cardiac arrest. He complained of uneasiness at around 5.30 in the morning and was rushed to PGI where he was declared brought dead.
The cremation will take place at the Sector 25 cremation ground with the presence of urns at 4 pm on Wednesday.Karan did his schooling from St Stephen School, Chandigarh, before doing MBBS from Sri Guru Ram Das Medical College, Amritsar.
Karan is survived by his parents, wife and a younger brother.
His wife, who is from Canada, was also in India these days in view of the recently held Punjab Assembly polls, which Kanwar Sandhu contested from Kharar constituency. Sandhu also headed the manifesto drafting committee of the AAP Punjab.
Karan had retweeted his father’s tweet few hours before he had cardiac arrest.
The body of the deceased was then moved to Sandhus’ house at Sukhna Enclave in Kansal.
