Chief Minister and chairperson of the Punjabi Academy, Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has appointed Jarnail Singh, former MLA from the Rajouri Garden constituency, as Vice-Chairman of the academy.
Jarnail Singh is a resident of Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi.Â
The former MLA, who resigned from his seat last year to contest from Lambi in Punjab against the then Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal, replaces Jarnail Singh, MLA from the Tilak Nagar constituency, who has resigned from the post of Vice-Chairman of the academy.
The Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, has also appointed Jarnail Singh MLA from Tilak Nagar as member of the governing body of the Punjabi Academy. The academy falls under the Government of NCT, Delhi, which is located at Motia Khan area in Sadar Bazar of Old Delhi.
The tenure of the above mentioned Vice Chairman and a member of the governing body of the Punjabi Academy will be up to 27th December this year as per notification.
