Sydney – Young NSW quick Gurinder Sandhu has been picked up by Delhi Daredevils for a big paycheck in the IPL auction of approx $352,000.

Gurinder is a Punjabi born in New South Wales. He has recently made his One Day International (ODI) debut recently against the Indians. Now, Gurinder Sandhu, the 21-year-old fast bowler, is set for a return to his motherland. How? Delhi Daredevils – the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise – roped him for Rs. 1.7 crore at the auction for the 2015 season of the cash-rich tournament. For Sandhu, it’s his first IPL contract and he will be joining Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh as his Delhi Daredevils teammates. Yuvraj Singh smashed the IPL auction record with $3.31 million from Delhi Daredevils.

So far 26 Australian players have been picked up in IPL Auction 2015.
