Chandigarh: Certain members of the SGPC executive have asked the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leadership to take up the issue of RSS activities in Punjab with the BJP’s top leadership in Delhi.

Karnail Singh Panjoli said he had told the SAD leadership that Punjab was a sensitive state and that the activities of organisations such as the RSS should be watched carefully.

He said at a meeting with the SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Prem Singh Chandumajra and others, he had referred to the RSS camp in Mansa and the RSS chief’s meeting with the Beas dera chief. Some SGPC members from Mansa had already brought the matter to the notice of the SAD leadership, Panjoli said.

“No one should be allowed to disrupt the hard-earned peace in the state,” he added.
