There is also a Facebook Fan page under the name of Craigieburn Mata Mandir with 473 likes at the time of writing this news.

There are also several posts on the Facebook page inviting public to book a religious kirtan/path at the temple and also asking for donations. So it is quite interesting that the residential property are rejecting the claims of turning it into Mandir.

According to HeraldSun, The home’s owner, who did not want her name published, denied the house was a temple, instead saying it was a “house of God”.

She claims last month’s “grand opening” was simply a house-warming and her family and friends joined her for prayer. She further added that “How can I use it as a temple? It’s my house.

“It’s my house of prayer, my house of God; it’s my personal house.”

She said the Facebook page was used to promote festival information and the Indian culture, while donations were used to buy statues.

Also according to available sources, there have been numerous complaints made by the neighbors of the property to the Hume Council for traffic concerns.
Hume Council is still investigating into the case.
