GEELONG – The Sikh Community of Greater Geelong celebrated their second anniversary on 19th May with great religious enthusiasm and fervour.
The anniversary programme was a special celebration for the local community. The sangat gathered in larger numbers to mark this milestone.
Bhai Gurmej Singh Karnal wale Kirtani jatha and Bhai Parminder Singh Jawadi performed kirtan at the celebration.
Special activities including Sukhmani Sahib paath, kids gurmat activities, turban tying were conducted.
Attending the celebration were Mr Michael Martinez, CEO Diversitat and Gurinder Kaur from Khalsa Education Society.
In a speech at the event, Michael offered his support for the growing Geelong Sikh community.
Tea and Langar was served throughout the day.
