New Delhi | January 2026 – The long-running family feud between former Fortis Healthcare promoters Malvinder Mohan Singh and Shivinder Mohan Singh has taken a fresh legal turn, with their wives now at the centre of the dispute.
According to official sources, Japna Singh, wife of Malvinder Mohan Singh, has approached the Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) alleging that she was illegally removed as a member of a charitable trust linked to Fortis Healthcare. The complaint names Aditi Singh, wife of Shivinder Mohan Singh, along with other trustees.
Allegations Over ₹500-Crore Trust Assets
The dispute revolves around the Flt Lt Rajan Dhall Charitable Society, which runs the Fortis Flt Lt Rajan Dhall Hospital in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The trust is reported to hold assets worth approximately ₹500 crore, with an annual revenue estimated at around ₹30 crore.
Japna Singh has alleged that forged documents and manipulated records were used to remove her from the trust’s governing body and transfer control to Aditi Singh and her associates. She has claimed that the actions were carried out without her consent and in violation of trust rules.
FIR Registered, Investigation Underway
Based on the complaint, the Economic Offences Wing has registered an FIR against Aditi Singh, Shivinder Mohan Singh, and other office bearers of the trust. The case reportedly includes charges related to criminal breach of trust, forgery, and criminal conspiracy.
Police officials have stated that the investigation will focus on:
- Trust governance decisions
- Financial transactions
- Property and asset records
- Alleged manipulation of documents
Both sides are expected to be questioned as part of the probe.
Feud That Spans Over a Decade
The Singh brothers’ dispute has spanned more than a decade, involving high-profile legal battles, corporate collapses, regulatory action, and multiple court cases related to Fortis Healthcare, Ranbaxy, and Religare Enterprises.
This latest development marks a new phase in the feud, extending the conflict beyond corporate boardrooms and courts to include family members and charitable institutions.
What Happens Next
Legal experts say the case could take time, as investigations into trusts and charitable societies often involve complex documentation and financial trails. Any findings by the EOW may further impact ongoing litigation involving the Singh family.
SinghStation will continue to follow the case and provide updates as more details emerge.
