Ludhiana: The United Akali Dal president and main organiser of ‘Sarbat Khalsa‘ Mohkam Singh was released from Ludhiana central jail on Thursday after he was granted bail in all the cases.
After his release, Bhai Mohkam Singh visited DMCH to meet Bapu Surat Singh who is demanding the release of Sikh prisoners.
Bhai Mohkam Singh was arrested following sedition charges as he was one of the organizers of Sarbat Khalsa held in November at Amritsar.
Later he was booked in two more cases- one FIR was registered against him at the E-division Police station of Amritsar, for allegedly disturbing the peaceful environment of Golden Temple on Bandi Chhor Diwas.
Another FIR was registered at Baba Bakala for protesting violently and blocking bridge over Beas river in October last against sacrilege incidents which happened across the state.
Bhai Mohkam Singh have been granted bail by courts in all three cases.
