Mohali: Excessive drinking and drug absue have become a serious problem in Punjab. Police conduct raids from time to time to curb the menace of drug trafficking in the state. Senior police officers claim the appropriate actions are being taken to check drugs addiction.

On Tuesday 26th August, two Punjab policemen reported on duty, completely drunk, and created a huge scene.

When this incident was reported to the senior officers then immediate action was taken against them. They were taken to the hospital for medical check-up.

They were taken to civil hospital at phase-6. But the cops created a lot of problems for the doctors too. Drunk cops created a lot of ruckus at the emergency department too. Nearly a dozen other policemen tried to control the unruly cops, but they refused to mend their ways.

They are deployed with 13 PC Batallion of PAC Armed Force.
