AMRITSAR – Bhai Pal Singh France, has been granted a full release after seven years of physical, mental and psychological torture at the hands of Indian Police.
French National, Bhai Pal Singh was arrested when he was conducting humanitarian work in villages across Punjab, trying to raise awareness against drugs and promoting Sikh principles.
His crime was that he left the comforts of the West, to go to Punjab and inspire youth away from drugs. He was so successful that the politicians of Punjab got afraid of his following.
The Sikh Relief organization (formerly SOPW – Sikh Organization for Prisoner Welfare), were instrumental in funding Pal Singh’s defense attorneys and fighting his case through court. They made the announcement regarding his release on bail earlier today.
