AMRITSAR SAHIB – Bhog & Antim Ardas for the peace of departed soul Bhai Nirmal Singh ji Khalsa was held on Sunday 19th April 2020 at Sri Bibeksar Sahib.
Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Hazuri Ragi Jatha performed Gurbani Kirtan, while Bhai Kulwinder Singh performed the antim ardaas and Giani Jagtar Singh ji read the hukamnama sahib.
Shiromani Committee Chief Secretary Dr. Roop Singh took charge of the stage.
On this occasion, Giani Jagtar Singh, Chief Granth Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal of the Shiromani Committee President, Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar and Akhtar Takht Sahib Jathedar presented dastar to Amiteshwar Singh, the son of Bhai Nirmal Singh. The Shiromani Ragi Kavishar and Dhadi Sabha also presented the turban to the son of Bhai Sahib.
In his address, Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib said that Bhai Nirmal Singh was one of the shining stars of gurmat sangeet. He is respected and always respected by the whole sect. He said that the Akal Takht Sahib will consider to pay due respect to Bhai Sahib.
Painting to be installed in Central Sikh Museum
On this occasion, Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal, President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee announced that a picture of Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa would be installed in the Central Sikh Museum.
He said that the loss of Bhai Sahib would always be felt by the Sikh panth. Bhai Longowal also said that we would also take action on the erection of Bhai Nirmal Singh’s monument when the coronavirus situation improves.
Lohian ITI to be renamed on name of Bhai Nirmal Singh Khalsa
Meanwhile, in a condolence message sent by Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, it was said that the ITI being constructed at Lohian would be named after Bhai Nirmal Singh.
