Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa discharged from DMC in Critical Condition

Fearing the deteriorating condition of Bapu Surat Singh, The Dayanand Medical College and Hospital today discharged Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, who has been on hunger strike to seek the freedom of Sikhs languishing in jails despite completion of their sentence, has been forced-fed on several occasions.

Confirming the release of his father, Ravinderjit Singh Gogi said that Bapu ji was discharged from the hospital this evening and was taken by the police to his house in Hassanpur village. Meanwhile, the Jagraon police have beefed up security outside his house.
Ravinderjit Singh said his father had been unwell for the past few days.

Following Bapu Ji’s deteriorating health, doctors had to struggle to save his life.

A number of medications forcefully prescribed by the doctors led to severe conditions in Bapu Ji’s body.  Overdose of liquid supplements is believed to be the cause behind liquid build up in Bapu Ji’s body.
