Amritsar Sahib – In a surprising and unexplained development, Sarbat Khalsa appointed acting Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand appeared in Darbar Sahib complex soon after SGPC appointed Jathedar Gurbachan Singh concluded his address from Darshani Deodi.
Jathedar Mand, who was nominated to take charge in the absence of jailed Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, delivered his parallel ‘Bandi Chhor Divas address’ standing below Akal Takht.
After delivering the message, Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand along with Sangat paid obeisance at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Darbar Sahib.
Large number of SGPC task-force was deployed at Akal Takht Sahib, but they were mute spectators to address made by Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand.
Attacking the Badal government, Acting Jathedar appealed to the Sikh community to protest against the detention of Panthic leaders, including Simranjit Singh Mann and Mohkam Singh. He asked the community to socially boycott Badal.
He appealed to Sikh youth to become Amritdhari by 2020. He further added that a turning point in the Panth has occurred and this should follow with an upwards trend in the high spirits of the nation.
