AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—In a press conference, all international bodies of the Akhand Kirtani Jatha decided to provide unanimous support to the Sarbat Khalsa taking place on November 10.
Several senior members of the Akhand Kirtani Jatha were part of the international conference that took place on November 7. Notably, representatives from India, UK, USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia discussed a number of issues before extended support to Sarbat Khalsa.
The meeting was presided over by Jathedar Bakshish Singh Jee.
In a press release, the Akhand Kirtani Jatha stated – “At a time when the attacks on Khalsa Panth have reached unprecedented levels, we cannot afford to stay divided. Our brothers languishing in Indian prisons have also pleaded for Panth to come together.”
In the conference call, the draft of resolutions made public by organizers of the Sarbat Khalsa were discussed and deemed acceptable. In light of the above, AKJ has resolved to participate in the Sarbat Khalsa. We appeal to Sikh Sangat around the world to leave aside all differences and come together around these resolutions. We also appeal to the organizers of the Sarbat Khalsa to stay true to the spirit of these resolutions.
