16th August 2013 – As per an undisclosed eye-witness who claims to be a resident of Tilak Vihar neighborhood,  the whole incident actually started because of a a Kite fight between two community groups. These two groups had members who were involved in such fights in the past as well. It actually had no connection of fight between 84 victims or Hindu Sikhs. The groups were engaged in fight irrespective of whichever community they belonged to.

In Delhi, there is a tradition of flying kites on Independence day and this incident was an out come of fight arising out of this. The clashes peaked around 4.30pm, briefly forcing the cops to take cover from the shower of stones. Among the injured, it was not only Sikhs but also few Hindus as well and Ragunath Kumar was one of those Hindus.

The culprits behind the actual incident have been arrested and the eye-witnesses have already given their statements against them.

The fight has been described as a two-way fight between two groups and it has also been advised that Police just shot in the air and as per previous news by Sikh Channel, the shots that were fired by the police were plastic shots only and so no deaths have been reported. Only two people are yet admitted in hospital , rest all have been discharged.

The eye-witness is a resident of neighborhood of Tilak Vihar who is himself Hindu but same time have many friends who are Sikhs.
