Sangrur, 24th August 2014 – Touched by Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann’s Parliamentary speech on the problem of having no toilets for Girls in most schools of Punjab, a Delhi based charity known as ‘Poverty Trust’ has come forward and offered to build toilets in Schools in Sangrur Constituency.
Poverty Trust founder, Mr SC Aggarwal in his letter to the Hon’ble speaker of Lok Sabha wrote that he was very much touched by the speech delivered by MP Bhagwant Mann on 8th August 2014 and he requested the Speaker to forward his message to Bhagwant Mann to provide him a list of the schools in his constituency lacking facility of toilets for girls, so that toilets could be arranged in those schools.
There are several people and organizations who are working to improve the social development and health of communities around the world. One example of a simple yet life changing initiative is a toilet. Yes, toilets. A facility taken for granted by many and something that over 2 million people around the world are in need of.
