Batala, Punjab (July 25, 2014)— In a deliberate Fire incident, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji saroop has been ‘agan bhet’ today 10am at Gurdwara Miri Piri Patshahi Chhevi on Sri Hargobindpur-Talwara road. The government sponsored media are deliberately referring this incident as a ‘short circuit’ but the actual situation seems very suspicious that this was done with a malicious intent.
The incident happened at 10am when there was no Sangat present and only the Palang in Sachkhand caught fire where two Guru Granth Sahib Ji saroops were present.
After Nitnem in the morning all the Sangat went home and coincidentally the fire started then. The Indian media is blaming it on a fan that was left on but according to reports by local, there has been no power supply all morning so how could a fan cause this.
Many Sikh organisations leaders arrived on the scene and are demanding an investigation be carried out by the local police. Satnam Singh, a local leader said: “Why is it only Gurdwaras that have short circuits? Why are the short circuits always in Sachkhand? When have you heard of any other short circuits? This is a deliberate attack on the Sikh religion and some group or agency is likely to be behind this across Punjab.”
