Sikh Political Prisoner Bhai Narain Singh Chaura Released on bail

Khalistani Activist and Sikh Political Prisoner Bhai Narain Singh Chaura, was released from jail was released on Saturday night from the Amritsar central jail where he had been lodged for the past five years. He was granted bail by a Taran Taran court in a case under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

Bhai Chaura was lodged in the Amritsar Jail and confined there despite having completed his sentence.  He was arrested on February 28, 2013 from Jalalabad village in TarnTaran in relation to a 2010 RDX case and was sentenced two years imprisonment by an Amritsar court.

Bhai Chaura was welcomed by various Sikh activists and family members as he was released from jail. Members of Sikh Relief and United Akali Dal were present during his release from the jail.

In a statement, Sikh Relief announced that Bhai Chaura has been released permanently.

“Rajvinder Singh Bains, Sarabjit Singh Bains and Balbir Singh Saini played an eminent role in securing Bhai Chaura’s release from the jail,”.

Sikh Relief said as its activists also expressed their gratitude to Almighty Waheguru for securing the release of another Sikh political prisoners.
