TURLOCK -Once again, Chaos erupted inside Turlock Gurdwara Sahib in California, due a large fight involving an estimated 100 people during Sunday afternoon.
Deputies from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office were requested to assist Turlock Police at about 12:30pm Sunday. Officers with the California Highway Patrol also responded. A large crowd was said to be in a fight and were refusing to leave the temple according to reports. Merced County Sheriff’s Deputies also responded to assist.
Police had to intervene inside the premises of the Gurdwara with naked heads and shoes.
Authorities attempted to clear the Gurdwara, but a large group refused to leave, early indications suggest. Deputies blocked entry to the temple and parking lot.
Several people were reportedly injured during the altercation and exposed to pepper spray.
Past altercations have revolved around leadership of the Gurughar.
