AMRITSAR:Â Shriomani Gurdwara Pharbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Mr. Avtar Singh Makkar here today categorically stated the SGPC would not hand over the charge of all Haryana based Gurdwaras to newly announced Haryana Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC).
Makkar said that since SGPC didn’t recognize the newly announced HSGMC by the Haryana Government. Moreover, the newly elected adhoc president Mr. Jagdish Singh Jhinda was excommunicated by the Akal Takht (highest Sikh temporal seat) and in such circumstances the charge of Haryana based Sikh shrines could never be handed over to the excommunicated person at any cost.
Adding further, Makkar said that SGPC was always bind to obey the directives issued from Akal Takht which has asked to maintain statuesque by not handing over the charge to the newly built HSGMC. Since HSGMC was never recognized by the supreme Sikh religious body Akal Takht as well as Sikh community by and large.
Makkar said that SGPC would never allow Jhinda to check the bank accounts where funds of all Haryana based Gurdwaras were deposited. Excommunicated Sikh has no right to take part in any of the religious activity in Sikh religion.
