While it is quite common today to see women among the fleet of bus drivers of the state-owned and managed bus companies in Australia, it is the first time in its history that a Punjabi Origin female, Sarabjeet Kaur is the first woman bus driver in Australia’s capital city Canberra.

Sarabjeet Kaur came to Australia about six years back and was always keen for driving. She found the vacancy on the ACT Transport website and seeing no restrictions in terms of gender, applied for the job.

Punjabi Community is really proud of Sarabjeet Kaur and SinghStation wishes her good luck for her further career with ACT  Transport.
