Singer/actor turned politician Jassi Jasraj is back in Aam Aadmi Party. He was expelled from AAP for his anti-party activities last year.

In a bid to placate ‘rebel’ leader Jassi Jasraj, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday appointed him as the vice-president of state wing and general secretary of the campaign committee. He is also given the responsibility of spokesperson of party.

On Wednesday, Jassi met Delhi chief minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal in Chandigarh and expressed his desire to work for the party in the state again. Welcoming Jassi’s comeback, Kejriwal said that he had always been an asset for the party.

In a viral video Arvind Kejriwal welcomed Jassi Jasraj to AAP, while Jassi confessed his past mistakes and pledged to work within party guidelines. AAP punjab affairs incharge Sanjay Singh also welcomed Jassi Jasraj.

Jassi was AAP’s pick for Bathinda parliamentary constituency in 2014 polls. He had, however, lost from Bathinda.
