MELBOURNE – The Aus International Kabaddi Cup is all set to begin in Melbourne with organisers Khakh Productions and associates expressing the confidence that they will take the game to new heights of popularity.
Addressing the media at a pre-event press conference organised at Parkview Receptions in Craigieburn, the organisers revealed that 8 countries will participate in this 2 days tournament, which will conclude on October 21. The main organisers of this event are Love khakh, Arsh Khakh, Pinda Khehra, Sonu Khemkaran, Pammi Sohal.
The tournament gets underway at Knights Stadium in Sunshine.
“Eight wonderful teams from six Olympic geographies will clash with each other. Another big milestone is that it will be played at a World Cup facilitated stadium, Knights Stadium, which has come up here in such a short time,” Love Khakh said.
The participating teams are India, USA, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
The First winner will be awarded $21000 AUD while second winner will be awarded $15000 AUD. The most valuable player during this tournament will also be awarded a Ford Mustang V8, which amounts to around Rs 60 lacs in Indian currency.
Speaking at the press conference, the organisers told that besides men’s kabaddi, Female teams from India and New Zealand will also showcase their talent.
Popular kabaddi commentators Makhan Ali and Aman Lopon will keep the audience charged with their commentary in rustic Punjabi.
Besides kabaddi, there will also be many other attractions at this mega event. Australian Cricketer Bret Lee, Indian Wrestler Great Khali and Pollywood Actor Yograj Singh will be the main guests and faces of attraction at the event. A number of political leaders from Australia will also attend the event.
