Perth Taxi driver killed in three-car Kelmscott crash

A TAXI driver has been killed and two other people injured in a three-car collision in Kelmscott

Perth – Police said the crash happened at about 1.40pm on Sunday at the intersection of Denny Avenue and Albany Highway, near Kelmscott Plaza.

A St John Ambulance spokesman told PerthNow that the emergency crews took one person to Armadale Hospital and one person to Royal Perth Hospital. A woman was also treated at the scene.

Early reports indicate that a female driver was turning right and was hit from behind by the taxi driver.

Main Roads WA advises that traffic lights are not working at that intersection and Albany Highway is closed in both directions.

The Labour Day long weekend has been a black period on WA roads. Major Crash investigators were at the scene.
