Sydney, 31 March – Recently a VIP Dinner was hosted by Kevin Conolly MP, Member for Riverstone with guest of honour Premier Barry O’Farrell. Kevin’s wife Cathie Conolly joined him and 17 other guests who spent the evening discussing a wide range of topics from small business issues to infrastructure projects, politics, accounting, women’s issues, educational and local Riverstone issues. The Premier made notes during the evening and will be investigating several of the topics raised.
Jugandeep Singh, chief editor Pardes Express, brought up the issue of IELTS requirements for various immigration purposes to the attention of Hon’ Premier Barry O’ Farrell. He explained how the requirements of IELTS is unfair requiring same score in all components in one sitting. Once students have passed one component they shouldn’t have to repeat that component of test again. Hon’ble Premier acknowledged the concern raised by Mr. Jugandeep Singh and ensured to discuss this with the immigration authorities.
