Perth –Â With tremendous joy and celebration Sikhs inaugurated a new Gurdwara at Bennett Springs in Perth opened on 15th February 2015.
Over 4000 people attended this event which included Shabad Kirtan (religious hymn singing), Nagar Kirtan and Gatka (Sikh martial arts) performance.
Bhai Satinderbir Singh ji & Jatha performed Gurbani kirtan. Giani Mal Singh, Jathedar Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib joined the Perth Sangat and performed the ardaas followed by Katha vichaars.
The event was attended by people of all faith traditions who offered blessings and prayers in their own religious traditions.
A Gatka competition has also been planned for three days from 20th to 22nd Feb.
The final Gatka performance will be performed by Damdami Taksal Ranjeet Akhara Australia.
