Punjab, 24 August, 2014 –Â Punjab Police investigate and frame fraudglent cases against Vikram, the guy who hurled shoe at Punjab CM Parkash Singh badal and still in police custody, a massive Jutti campaign launched on Facebook has gone viral. is playing out colorfully on the Internet.
The campaign goes on by making your own videos with their own slogans and hurling shoe at photos of Badals and uploading it to Facebook, to show contempt for the disgrace Badal Govt had brought to the public
There have already been more than 100 videos released on Facebook. Though it was males who initially started uploading their videos, but recently Punjabi women have come forward as well and expressed their participation in this campaign as well.
One NRI woman has even gone further and sent a parcel containing a Punjabi Jutti addressing to Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
These videos are being interpreted as a sign of increasing annoyance over inept leaders and speak of people’s desperation for good governance. This campaign is a symbol of the people’s anger, disgust and revulsion against corruption, lawlessness and human trafficking by the Punjab Government and all corrupt politicians.
