On 8th September, the headline of the news by Punjab Newsline was ‘After Canada, UK now a Punjabi makes it to Australian parliament ‘ while Hindustan Times published ‘Punjabi makes history in elections held Down Under“.

It is to be advised that the real winner of 2013 Scullin Seat Elections is Andrew Giles who actually won with a big swing of votes from his Liberal party candidate Mr Jag Chugha. ANDREW Giles is the new federal Labor MP for Scullin, having won 51 per cent of first preference votes on election day.
