Former AAP leader Amandeep Kaur from Ferozepur is the latest face of revolt in the party as she exposes some party workers for sexual assault in an interview with Surinder Singh from Talking Punjab.
In her with Talking Punjab, Amandeep Kaur said:
[highlight]“I feel ashamed now to say that I used to work for the Aam Aadmi Party. This party only belongs to ‘men’ AAP, however, said her complaint was probed but nothing substantial came out of the investigation”.[/highlight]
An AAP leader said: “Investigations, though, are still on. If we find something credible, we will take action.”
The Aam Aadmi Party is already facing protests over multiple women’s welfare issues.
Meanwhile, Amandeep Kaur staged a demonstration outside the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at Civil Lines last week. Amandeep, who has been the AAP convenor for three Punjab Lok Sabha constituencies, is unhappy over alleged sexual harassment by some male party volunteers.
She tried to meet Kejriwal besides writing to Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, but was denied an audience.
