Anshdeep Singh Bhatia has become the first Sikh to have been inducted into US President Donald Trump security team.
Anshdeep moved to the US in the year 2000 and always dreamt of being a part of the President’s security squad. However, he faced a hurdle when he was told to “change his looks”. Determined, he then moved the court and a decision was made in his favour. In a picture that surfaced online, Bhatia is seen at a police ceremony, wearing his turban.
Ludhiana-born Anshdeep Singh Bhatia refused to change his ‘looks’ & went to court against this rider.
Sikh sangat is proud as he now becomes the first turbaned Sikh to be inducted into US President’s security detail.

Anshdeep was inducted last week after he completed his gruelling training in the United States.
Anshdeep’s family hailed from Kanpur, but after the 1984 riots, his father, who is a bank employee, got a transfer to Ludhiana where he got married and eventually moved to the US in 2000 when Anshdeep was around 10 years old.
He is a true example of someone who believes in his own principles and will not bend to the system to prove his worth.
