SinghStation: On 8th September, Sikh Sangat from all over Australia gathered at Gurdwara Sahib, Keysborough to learn more about a special project developed by Australian Sangat to computerize the records of saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
This information was instated with the live telephonic message of Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji, current Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib ji. Amritsar. Singh Sahib extremely appreciated & esteemed the project and advised that he will very soon arrive at Melbourne to discuss further about this project with Sikh Sangat.
Giving further information about the project, Melbourne based Sukhbir Singh stated, that this project will provide a unique identity to each saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. This uniqueness will be identified by the flowers depicting in the margins of on each Ang of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The configuration of these flowers can reveal the count of Guru Granth Sahib ji’s saroops and when and where it was published. Sukhbir Singh also informed that this computerization project will also assist in recording information about who has currently taken possession of Guru Granth Sahib ji’s saroop and this will help in tracking about the movements of saroops. Ultimately this will alert the Sikh Sangat to be fully conscious of the respect of living Guru Granth Sahib ji and will put a strict control over the various incidents resulting in disrespect of the saroops around the world.
